Prof. Brawley Newlin's research focuses on unique work populations, like gig workers and family microbusinesses. She also conducts research on statistical and methodological issues, like common method variance and heteroscedasticity. She teaches mostly Introductory Statistics, Advanced Business Statistics (offered as a senior capstone), and The Gig Economy (also a senior capstone). Sometimes she also teaches Research Methods and an elective on Work Motivation; and she enjoys advising students who are eager to take on the challenge of an Independent Study Research credit.

In addition to being a big stats nerd, Prof BN is also a mom, a dog person (cats also OK), a crafter, and a reader. She would love to see pictures of your pets and crafts, talk about your research ideas, and compare favorite statistical equations. Office hours this semester are Wednesdays 10am-??? (just let Prof BN know what time you'll stop by), and by appointment.
