HALE-BOPP PICTURES!
1) The image below of Comet Hale-Bopp 1995O1 was taken by Mark Astrom
at the Gettysburg College Observatory, April 9, 1997,
using a 200 mm f 5.6/ Nikkor Zoom lens and ASA 400 color print film. It's a
30 minute exposure. Both the faint blue plasma tail and the yellow
dust tail are visible clearly, but be sure you have your screen set
for the highest color rendition. Note the double trail of airplane
wing lights at the left of the image. For information about obtaining

30 minute exposure. Both the plasma tail (on the left) and the dust
tail can be seen.
3) The image below of Comet Hale-Bopp 1995O1 was taken by Larry Marschall
at the Gettysburg College Observatory, March 24, 1997,
using a 200 mm Nikkor lens and ASA 1600 color print film. It's a
5 minute exposure. Note the trail of airplane wing lights at the
left of the image.
4) The image below of Comet Hale-Bopp 1995O1 was taken by Dick
Cooper at the Cooper Observatory, New Oxford, PA, February 17, 1997,
using a 50 mm lens and ASA 400 color print film. It's a
20 second exposure.
